Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has suspended the licenses of five telecom companies over regulatory violations, including failure to submit Annual Audited Accounts and non-payment of Annual License Fees for the financial year ended June 30, 2024. The enforcement action applies to Al Wujood Technologies, Fast Fiber Net, Geo Tech, Navitronix, and Z Com Networks, with the authority issuing separate orders under Section 23 of the Pakistan Telecommunication (Re-organization) Act, 1996.

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has also directed all Long Distance and International, Local Loop, Telecom Infrastructure Provider, and mobile operators to suspend telecom facilities being provided to these companies until further orders. The regulator warned that failure to comply within one month could result in automatic termination of the companies’ licenses without further notice.

According to the authority, telecom license holders are required to submit their Annual Audited Accounts and pay Annual License Fees within 120 days after the end of each financial year. Pakistan Telecommunication Authority said the companies failed to meet these obligations despite repeated reminders and notices, prompting formal enforcement action.

The authority issued show cause notices to the companies on March 6, 2026, directing them to submit pending audited accounts, clear outstanding license fees along with late payment charges, and explain why enforcement action should not be taken against them. The companies did not respond to the notices or appear before scheduled hearings, resulting in decisions being made ex-parte based on available records. Under the enforcement orders, the licenses of the affected companies have been suspended for one month or until they submit the required accounts and clear outstanding payments, whichever occurs first.
