PTA Renews Cellular Mobile License for Zong in AJ&K and Gilgit-Baltistan for NGMS Services

To continue and/or extend its NGMS services in the region, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has renewed the Cellular Mobile License of CMPak (Zong) for AJ&K and Gilgit-Baltistan.

According to a statement just released by PTA, CMPak has paid 50% of the USD 17.5 million total required licence renewal price, or Rs. 1.87 billion (USD 8.76 million), to PTA (Zong).

PTA said that the remaining amount will be paid by CMPak in 10 equal annual instalments.

Senior management from PTA, the Frequency Allocation Board (FAB), and CMPak attended the licence renewal event, which was held at the PTA headquarters.
