The Punjab Information Technology Board and Rozee.pk have signed a memorandum of understanding to introduce AI powered candidate selection and interview processes under the Chief Minister IT Internship Program. The agreement was signed by PITB Director General of e-Governance Sajid Latif and Rozee.pk Founder and Chairman Monis Rehman, with PITB Director of the Skills Development Wing Ahmad Islam Syan also present at the signing.

Under the collaboration, artificial intelligence will be used to match fresh IT graduates with the specific requirements of partner IT companies participating in the internship program, aiming to make the recruitment process faster and more efficient compared to conventional manual screening methods. By applying AI to candidate matching and interview processes, the two organizations hope to reduce the time and effort typically required to connect large numbers of applicants with suitable placement opportunities across participating companies.

The Chief Minister IT Internship Program is a flagship initiative of the Government of Punjab focused on improving the employability of fresh IT graduates entering the job market. The program is designed to bridge the gap between academic training and practical, on the job experience by offering five month paid internships in partnership with established IT companies, giving graduates direct exposure to real world work environments before they formally enter the job market.

The introduction of AI powered selection tools under CMITIP reflects a broader trend of government skills programs in Pakistan incorporating artificial intelligence into recruitment and training processes, as officials look for ways to handle growing applicant volumes more efficiently while improving the quality of matches between graduates and employers. The partnership between PITB and Rozee.pk adds to a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening the pipeline connecting Pakistan’s IT education system with the practical skill requirements of the country’s growing technology sector.
