PIA, the national airline has launched the first of its kind digital crew app, an initiative of PIA’s modernization efforts, led by its Chief Information Officer Azhar Nawaz.
The app is to serve as a digital solution for automated cabin crew flight observation log and information hub. Through this app all they have to carry is a tablet or a compatible mobile device through which they can register the necessary data for their flying hours instead of instead of carrying large suitcases and bags.

The app also allows flight crew to fill in rosters and technical manuals during the flight, receive technical support online and offline, integrate with the system to provide timely information, and even calculate efficient allowances and fuel costs.
Integration of this app is an attempt to bring in state-of-the-art technology in to the organization in order to opt for a paperless environment.
