Another honour for Pakistan, 4 Pakistani nationals have been listed as part of the Forbes 30 under 30 list.
4 Pakistanis have made it to the 2021 North American Forbes 30 under 30 list. In the categories of education, marketing and advertising, and gaming, these Pakistani youngsters were included in the list for their contributions.
These brilliant minds include:
Asad Malik:
Asad founded Jadu AR, a Los Angeles based startup that uses Augmented Reality (AR) for storytelling, after moving to the US in 2016. He featured young Muslim immigrants in his breakout Terminal 3 project. He also collaborated to create ‘A Jester’s Story’ with Magic Leap.
Danish Dhamani
Having grown up in East Africa, Danish, after moving to the US, was always scared of speaking in classroom presentations and work interviews. He overcame his anxiety in 2017 and formed a start-up for speech coaching known as Orai. Since then it has raised $2.3 million in seed funding.
Orai, based in Philadelphia, allows users to record speech and gain input, such as how many times they say “um.” Orai has more than 5,000 active users and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Comcast, and IBM are among its corporate customers.
Faizan Bhatti
While studying at the University of Pennsylvania, Faizan founded Halo Cars in 2019. The company raised $500,000 from angel investors soon after its launch. Halo Cars envisaged the development of new ad space on rideshare vehicles and a way to raise more money for Uber and Lyft drivers. Within a year of its inception, Faizan sold Halo Cars to Lyft.
Sanaa Khan
Sanaa is responsible for the business strategy and hardware planning for Stadia, the tech giant’s cloud gaming service, as a program manager at Google. She launched Stadia’s Free Play Days during the Coronavirus pandemic to assist financially constrained gamers. She also leads a female developer scholarship program.
Overall, 600 young entrepreneurs, activists, scientists, and entertainers from North Africa are featured in Forbes’ 10th annual issue.Over $1 billion in venture capital has been raised by under 30 North American trailblazers.
