atomcamp Co-Founder Dr. Naveed Iftikhar delivered a keynote session at FAST-NUCES Islamabad focused on professional development in the age of artificial intelligence. The session, titled “Professional Development in the Age of AI,” was held at the university’s auditorium on September 16 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. The session brought attention to the changing nature of careers as artificial intelligence becomes increasingly relevant to professional skills, workplace practices and career development. atomcamp describes its work as focused on artificial intelligence, data science and emerging technologies, with training programmes designed around practical skills.

The session was positioned around helping students understand how professional development is changing as AI becomes more integrated into different fields. Dr. Iftikhar’s participation also reflected atomcamp’s focus on connecting learning communities with industry perspectives and emerging technology trends. FAST-NUCES Islamabad’s Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science similarly highlights industry collaboration, hands-on research and preparation for emerging technologies as part of its academic focus.

The discussion comes as demand grows for professionals who can combine technical capabilities with broader workplace and communication skills. atomcamp currently offers programmes covering artificial intelligence, data analytics, automation, AI agents and cybersecurity, alongside professional development areas such as email communication, report writing, presentations, LinkedIn profiles, CV writing and networking. These programmes reflect the growing overlap between technical learning and career preparation in technology-focused fields.

The FAST-NUCES session was part of atomcamp’s wider engagement with students and professionals around the impact of AI on education and careers. The organization has also conducted AI-focused training and professional development programmes through collaborations with universities and public-sector institutions. Such initiatives provide opportunities for students to gain exposure to industry perspectives while considering how AI-related changes may affect the skills and capabilities expected in the workplace.
