Pakistan has opened applications for AI startups and technology companies to participate in an upcoming AI Ideation and Co-Design Workshop focused on transforming public sector services through artificial intelligence. The initiative aims to bring innovators together with government bodies to create solutions that make governance more efficient, transparent, and citizen-centric. The program represents a national effort to accelerate the adoption of AI in government operations and encourage the development of homegrown AI-driven solutions tailored to local needs.

Organizers are inviting startups and AI companies that can enhance how the government interacts with citizens, manages data, and delivers public services. The call is particularly focused on teams with expertise in conversational AI and natural language processing (NLP), especially those working on chatbots, large language models, and multilingual NLP systems in Urdu and English. Selected participants will have the opportunity to collaborate on co-designing an AI-powered government chatbot aimed at improving access to citizen services through intelligent digital interactions.

The workshop seeks to identify and support innovators capable of driving meaningful change within the public sector. By connecting AI entrepreneurs with government institutions, the program offers a chance to test, refine, and scale solutions that can optimize administrative workflows, improve decision-making, and strengthen service delivery. Participants will gain valuable exposure to the country’s evolving GovTech landscape, working closely with policymakers, public sector officials, and technology experts. The initiative is designed to foster an ecosystem where AI innovation aligns with the goals of public service, digital governance, and inclusive access to information.

Through this platform, startups will have the chance to gain direct engagement with government departments, pilot projects at scale, and receive mentorship from policy and innovation leaders. The collaboration also helps bridge the gap between private-sector innovation and public-sector application, creating opportunities to test emerging technologies in real-world governance scenarios. The effort aligns with Pakistan’s broader digital transformation agenda, which emphasizes leveraging emerging technologies like AI to modernize institutions, improve service efficiency, and enhance citizen trust in digital governance systems.

Applications for participation are now open and can be submitted through Google Forms. The deadline for submissions is Sunday, November 8, 2025. Interested startups and companies are encouraged to apply early to become part of this collaborative effort toward building an AI-enabled government ecosystem in Pakistan. This initiative is expected to bring together some of the country’s most promising innovators to help shape the next phase of AI adoption in governance.
