Pakistan is making its presence felt at GDC 2026, one of the world’s largest and most influential game development conferences, held this year at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Represented by TechDestination Pakistan, the country is highlighting its growing gaming ecosystem, which has begun to attract international attention for its creativity, technical expertise, and rapid industry growth. The showcase provides a platform for Pakistani developers, publishers, and investors to connect with global counterparts, positioning the nation as a rising player in the competitive world of digital entertainment.

At the conference, Shahbaz Hameed, Director of Business Development and Partnerships at TechDestination Pakistan, is at the forefront of these efforts, engaging with international stakeholders to demonstrate the potential of Pakistan’s gaming sector. Hameed is emphasizing the strengths of local studios, including innovative design, cost-effective production, and access to a rapidly growing pool of young technical talent. By presenting Pakistan’s gaming capabilities to an international audience, the initiative aims to foster partnerships, investment opportunities, and collaboration that can accelerate the country’s role in the global gaming industry.

The GDC 2026 exhibition, held at Booth 1637 in the Festival Hall, runs from March 11 to 13 and offers attendees the opportunity to explore the breadth of Pakistan’s gaming ecosystem. Representatives from the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan, Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, and Pakistan IT Industry Association (P@SHA) are supporting this initiative, highlighting the national commitment to digital innovation and global engagement. Their participation reinforces Pakistan’s strategy to position itself as a hub for game development talent and technology-driven growth.

For developers, publishers, and investors visiting the Moscone Center, the presence of TechDestination Pakistan offers a unique chance to understand the country’s capabilities, network with leading professionals, and discuss potential business collaborations. Beyond commercial opportunities, the exhibition serves as a platform to showcase emerging talent, highlight successful projects, and demonstrate the broader ecosystem supporting Pakistan’s creative industries. By engaging with the international community, Pakistan is signaling its readiness to compete on a global stage, offering a combination of innovation, skilled workforce, and strategic support for those looking to invest or partner in game development projects.
