Pakistan Games Collective Launches to Unite and Empower Game Builders Nationwide

Pakistan’s gaming ecosystem has received a major boost with the official launch of the Pakistan Games Collective, now recognized as the country’s largest and most vibrant community for game builders. After months of behind-the-scenes work by a passionate group of industry enthusiasts, the Collective is set to transform the way game developers, artists, designers, and storytellers connect and collaborate across Pakistan.

Unlike a traditional studio or startup, Pakistan Games Collective is a movement designed to break the isolation many local game creators have faced. For years, developers in Pakistan have struggled with feelings of working alone, lacking a cohesive community to share ideas, challenges, and opportunities. This new collective aims to end that solitude by building a supportive and inclusive network where everyone involved in game creation—whether developers, designers, writers, or innovators—can thrive together.

The community is founded on principles of openness and cooperation, emphasizing “no gatekeeping” and fostering an environment where builders help builders. The Collective is already planning a host of initiatives to energize the local game development scene. These include organizing game jams, launching training programs, forging studio partnerships, and hosting meetups and events to cultivate vibrant gaming hubs beyond Karachi and Lahore.

One of the notable aspects of this initiative is the impressive growth it has achieved in a short period, already attracting over 10,000 members nationwide. This rapid expansion is a testament to the strong demand among Pakistani game creators for a unified platform to collaborate and grow.

The journey began as a grassroots effort inspired by the legacy of M-Labs, a pioneering incubator that played a vital role in nurturing local talent. The Pakistan Games Collective acknowledges the foundational contributions of figures such as Babar Ahmed and Syed Arif Qadir, as well as many others who helped turn an initial idea into the fastest-growing gaming community in Pakistan. The collective also honors numerous graduates from M-Labs who have been instrumental in shaping the local game development landscape.

Now led by a core volunteer team with nearly two decades of combined experience, the Collective is poised for its next phase of growth. Syed Ali A., known affectionately as the “Grand Sorcerer,” and Hamza Majeed Khan, or “Master Wiz’art,” are leading the team to revive the community and elevate it to new heights. The initiative is still in its early days, but the energy, talent, and commitment from members signal a promising future.

Chief Wizard and co-founder of the Collective expressed excitement about the journey ahead, inviting anyone involved in game-related projects in Pakistan to join and contribute to building a thriving ecosystem.

The Pakistan Games Collective is accessible via Discord, providing a centralized platform for members to interact, share resources, and collaborate on projects. By fostering this inclusive community, the Collective hopes to build the gaming scene Pakistan has long desired—a scene that is creative, connected, and competitive on the global stage.

For Pakistan’s gaming industry, the launch of this community marks a pivotal moment. It symbolizes a shift from fragmented individual efforts to collective strength, offering a solid foundation for innovation, skill development, and industry growth.

As digital entertainment continues to expand worldwide, Pakistan’s game developers now have a dedicated platform to build, play, and thrive—together.
