In a major development towards strengthening Pakistan’s digital transformation agenda, the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan, in collaboration with Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and GO Telecom Saudi Arabia, has launched the GO AI Hub Pakistan. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to advancing the Prime Minister’s vision of a Digital Nation, paving the way for deep technological cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The partnership seeks to enhance bilateral relations through innovation-led collaboration, underlining the shared commitment of both nations to a future built on digital empowerment and sustainable technological growth.

Speaking at the launch event, Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja emphasized that the GO AI Hub will serve as a pivotal platform for equipping Pakistan’s youth with AI-related skills and fostering innovation across key sectors. She noted that artificial intelligence is transforming economies worldwide and that Pakistan must invest in its human capital to stay competitive. “The GO AI Hub will unlock opportunities for our youth, catalyze the AI ecosystem, and ensure that the benefits of emerging technologies reach every citizen of Pakistan,” she said. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between academia, industry, and government, enabling a unified effort to position Pakistan as a regional center for AI-driven progress.

The event was attended by several notable figures, including His Excellency Nawaf Bin Said Al Malki, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, and Yahya Saleh Al Mansour, CEO of GO Telecom. Their participation underscored the deepening ties between the two countries in the field of technology and innovation. The collaboration will focus on advancing research, promoting industry partnerships, and strengthening capacity-building programs to nurture local talent in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. By integrating Saudi Arabia’s technological expertise with Pakistan’s growing digital ecosystem, the GO AI Hub is set to foster knowledge exchange and accelerate the implementation of AI solutions across industries such as education, health, governance, and public services.

Beyond its technological scope, the GO AI Hub is envisioned as a people-centered initiative that will create employment opportunities, empower the youth, and contribute to a digitally inclusive society. It reflects a broader vision to ensure that digital progress directly benefits communities and businesses throughout Pakistan. The establishment of the Hub signifies a milestone in Pakistan-Saudi Arabia cooperation on emerging technologies, reinforcing shared objectives of innovation, digital inclusion, and economic growth. Led by Federal Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja, the “Empowering the Future” event marked the beginning of a transformative collaboration designed to strengthen AI development, digital infrastructure, and cross-border innovation. Through this partnership, both nations reaffirm their commitment to building a sustainable digital future that uplifts citizens and drives forward their mutual goals of progress and prosperity.
