Pakistan American Chamber of Commerce hosted a brunch in Los Angeles in honor of Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, during his visit to the city. The gathering brought together a diverse group of community leaders, entrepreneurs, and businessmen, including directors of the Pak Am Tech Council from Los Angeles and Silicon Valley, along with special guests from the Latin American community.

The event also served as a farewell ceremony for Consul General Asim Ali Khan, who concluded his tenure in Los Angeles and is set to take up a new posting as Pakistan’s Ambassador to Norway. Ambassador Sheikh expressed his appreciation for the chamber’s role in uniting business and community leaders and promoting a positive image of Pakistan, and referenced Pakistan’s involvement in mediating between the United States and Iran, saying it had helped position the country as a peace oriented nation on the world stage.

Fatima Khan welcomed guests at the event, while Pakistan American Chamber of Commerce Chairman Waqar Ali Khan and President Fawad Ismail praised Asim Ali Khan’s dedication to community activities and his role in various chamber initiatives during his tenure. The outgoing Consul General, in turn, commended the chamber’s continued efforts in serving the community and building relationships among its members. Najeeb Ghauri, Chief Executive Officer of Netsol Technologies and President of the Pak Am Tech Council, also spoke at the event, praising Khan’s service and thanking the chamber for the invitation.

The chamber presented recognition plaques to Asim Ali Khan in appreciation of his service, wishing him success in his new role in Norway, while Artesia Council member Ali Taj presented a formal proclamation to the outgoing Consul General. Board members Mohsin Arshad, Nasir Rao, and Nadeem Khwaja thanked attendees for joining despite the warm Southern California weather. Other attendees at the event included Dr Sana Khan, Dr Razaq Choudhry, Ahmed Ali, Dr Imran Sharief, Anees Bakali, Abdul Ghani Moulvi, Fareed Jafrey, Anwar Khan, and Wajahat Hussain, among others, reflecting the broad cross section of Pakistani American community and business figures who turned out for the reception.
