NSIT City Nears Key Milestones As CBD Punjab Reviews Progress

Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (CBD Punjab) has carried out a comprehensive review session at NSIT City, Pakistan’s largest IT city, to evaluate ongoing development progress and upcoming milestones. The session was chaired by CEO Imran Amin and attended by senior officials including Executive Director Technical Riaz Hussain, Director Project Management Asif Iqbal, Director Architecture & Planning Sameer Aftab Sial, Director Construction Asif Babar, Director Engineering Omar Hayat, Project Manager NSIT City Yasir Saifullah, along with deputy directors, NESPAK representatives, and contractors. The gathering aimed to ensure timely delivery of key infrastructure targets and reaffirm the authority’s commitment to building a high-quality IT ecosystem.

During the briefing, officials reported that work on the 4.3-kilometer-long, 250-foot-wide main circular road is approaching completion, with asphalt laying planned to commence by the end of this month. This road is a vital component for ensuring smooth mobility and access across the city. Alongside road development, the main drainage system has reached 85 percent completion, representing a significant achievement in strengthening the city’s sustainable infrastructure and enhancing its resilience for future operations. These two developments signal progress towards creating a modern environment capable of supporting the needs of businesses and entrepreneurs.

The technical team also presented the traffic and transport master plan for NSIT City, which is designed to accommodate over 2,000 vehicles upon completion. This plan is intended to enable efficient movement for businesses, startups, and visitors, reinforcing NSIT City’s role as a future hub for innovation and commerce. The master plan also supports the integration of high-capacity infrastructure with modern urban planning principles, reflecting CBD Punjab’s focus on delivering state-of-the-art facilities to Pakistan’s technology sector.

Following the review session, CEO Imran Amin visited the site to inspect ongoing works firsthand. He expressed appreciation for the dedication of the project teams and stressed the importance of timely delivery of all targets. Amin underscored CBD Punjab’s determination to establish world-class facilities, positioning NSIT City as a key contributor to the country’s IT sector growth. “NSIT City is not just a project, it is the future of Pakistan’s digital economy,” Amin remarked. “We are developing an ecosystem that will provide cutting-edge infrastructure for IT companies, startups, and entrepreneurs, fostering innovation, investment, and employment. The pace of development is encouraging, and I am confident NSIT City will soon emerge as a global technology hub.”

This progress review highlights CBD Punjab’s active oversight of one of Pakistan’s most ambitious IT infrastructure projects. By advancing key milestones on schedule and prioritizing sustainability, NSIT City is moving closer to its goal of becoming a premier destination for technology-driven enterprises and a catalyst for digital transformation in the region.
