Pakistan’s National Information Technology Board (NITB) is set to launch an advanced big data analytics dashboard for the country’s judiciary, aiming to enhance decision-making and increase transparency in court operations. The announcement came during a review session chaired by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, where officials discussed accelerating digital reforms and leveraging technology to improve public service delivery. The initiative marks a significant step in the government’s broader push for e-governance and data-driven management within key public institutions.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the importance of making government services more accessible to citizens. He encouraged public institutions to adopt modern technology to increase efficiency, improve transparency, and ensure that public services respond promptly to citizen needs. The prime minister’s guidance aligns with Pakistan’s ongoing strategy to integrate digital tools across sectors, positioning technology as a central element in administrative reforms.

Officials noted that NITB has begun restructuring its operations under a new chief executive officer to align its capabilities with current digital requirements. Among other initiatives, the agency has completed plans for an Asaan Khidmat Markaz in Islamabad, aimed at providing centralized access to government services. In addition, a secure government-wide application is under development to facilitate better service delivery across ministries and public offices. These projects are designed to make public services more seamless, reducing manual procedures and increasing citizen engagement through digital channels.

The session also highlighted upcoming digital transformations in other sectors. All major stages of the Hajj process are expected to be fully digitized this year, simplifying procedures for pilgrims and ensuring smoother service management. A QR code–based feedback system for overseas Pakistanis is under review to provide more effective communication and service evaluation. Separately, the One Patient, One ID initiative for hospitals is nearing completion. This integrated system will allow hospitals to manage patient data more efficiently, enhancing care delivery while streamlining administrative workflows. By centralizing patient records, the system aims to improve healthcare outcomes and reduce inefficiencies in hospital operations.

NITB’s digital initiatives reflect a coordinated effort to modernize public service delivery across Pakistan. By combining judicial data analytics, centralized citizen service centers, secure mobile applications, Hajj digitization, and hospital information systems, the government is working to create a more transparent, efficient, and responsive public sector. As these projects advance, citizens can expect easier access to essential services, while institutions will gain tools to make data-driven decisions, track performance, and improve service quality across multiple sectors.
