NICAT is set to host a pivotal roundtable discussion titled “Climate Emergency: Tech for Early Warning, Readiness & Adaptation” on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at NICAT, NASTP Gate 1, Rawalpindi. The event aims to foster collaboration between key stakeholders, including representatives from the government, technology startups, donor agencies, and humanitarian organizations. The primary objective is to explore the role of technology in addressing Pakistan’s growing climate challenges and to co-create actionable strategies for early warning systems, readiness mechanisms, and adaptive solutions tailored to the country’s unique needs. Interested participants can confirm their attendance through the official RSVP form available here.

Pakistan continues to face the adverse impacts of climate change, including floods, droughts, and heatwaves that pose significant risks to communities, agriculture, and infrastructure. In this context, NICAT’s roundtable seeks to serve as a platform for meaningful dialogue on how technology can be effectively leveraged to mitigate risks and enhance resilience. By bringing together stakeholders from different sectors, the session will aim to identify how innovation can play a role in developing predictive tools, data-driven insights, and scalable digital solutions for disaster preparedness. The roundtable will also explore opportunities for startups to collaborate with public and private sector institutions to deploy practical climate-tech interventions that support early detection and community response.

This upcoming gathering underscores the importance of integrating local innovation into climate action frameworks. NICAT’s initiative aligns with Pakistan’s broader digital and sustainability goals, emphasizing the need for collaboration across multiple domains. Participants will discuss not only the challenges of building sustainable technological infrastructure but also the pathways for policy alignment, funding opportunities, and cross-sector partnerships that can accelerate implementation. By engaging both emerging entrepreneurs and established industry leaders, the event aims to strengthen the ecosystem’s capacity to deliver solutions that can safeguard lives and livelihoods amid the increasing frequency of climate-related emergencies.

In preparation for the event, NICAT has shared a detailed invitation and agenda with participants to guide discussions and ensure diverse representation across sectors. Attendees are encouraged to confirm their participation to contribute to shaping this important conversation around technology’s role in environmental resilience. Through such initiatives, NICAT continues to highlight the potential of Pakistan’s startup ecosystem to develop homegrown, tech-enabled responses to one of the most pressing global challenges of our time.
