Startup Weekend is an immersion event where entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs get a glimpse of what it means to launch a startup. Startup Weekends give entrepreneurs a platform to share their ideas, form diverse teams and launch their startups over the course of a weekend.

The Nest I/O is all set to once again organize the Startup Weekend Women, previously they organized the first-ever edition of Startup Weekend Women in March 2018. The response to the SW exceeded all their expectations. Therefore, this time around they are aiming to surpass the benchmark that has been set.

The aim of the Startup Weekend Women is to foster female entrepreneurship and facilitate the creation of women-owned businesses. The goal of Nest I/O is to inspire females to take up leadership roles in startup teams, and to connect more women to the resources and mentors available in startup communities.

The Startup Weekend is to take place on the 14th – 16th September 20218 at the Nest I/O. The tickets vary in prices e.g. for Student: Rs.1800, for Professionals/Entrepreneurs: Rs.2500. To register for the Startup Weekend Women, click here. The participants will be selected after being shortlisted. All shortlisted candidates will receive a new registration link on their given email ids to purchase the tickets for the event.

Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. Initially providing news to IT executives only, once CIO Pakistan, its sister brand from the same family, was launched and took over the enterprise reporting domain in Pakistan, CWPK has emerged as a holistic technology media platform reporting everything tech in the country. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come.
