NAYATel has informed its customers of a planned network maintenance activity scheduled for 07-Jan-26, which may affect internet services in Islamabad. The maintenance will run from 12:00 AM to 02:00 PM, and the company has cautioned users that service performance could be impacted during this 14-hour period. Customers may experience slow speeds or temporary unavailability of subscribed services. The company emphasized that this activity is critical for ensuring network reliability and maintaining consistent service quality, and urged users to plan their online activities accordingly.

In addition to the scheduled maintenance, NAYATel confirmed a separate issue affecting internet performance nationwide. The company stated that Pakistan is currently experiencing an internet slowdown due to degradation in one of its two upstream providers. This disruption is impacting a significant portion of internet traffic across the country, leading to inconsistent connectivity and delays for users. NAYATel’s technical teams are actively monitoring the situation and working closely with the upstream provider to restore normal service, though no specific timeline has been provided for full resolution.

NAYATel encouraged customers to use official digital channels for updates and assistance during this period. The My NAYATel App and the Customer Portal offer automated support, account management features, and service status updates, providing faster responses than traditional customer service lines. The Technical Assistance Center remains available to address more complex issues or urgent inquiries. The company reassured users that both the scheduled maintenance and the broader internet slowdown are being addressed with priority, highlighting ongoing efforts to minimize disruption and maintain service stability.

While the maintenance activity is limited to a specific Islamabad location, the nationwide slowdown underscores the dependency on upstream providers for overall internet performance in Pakistan. NAYATel’s proactive communication seeks to inform users of potential interruptions and provide guidance on accessing support efficiently. Customers are advised to monitor official channels for updates as the company continues its efforts to stabilize services and ensure reliable connectivity across its network.
