National Information Technology Board And Drug Regulatory Authority Of Pakistan Sign MoU To Integrate Services Into National Citizen Services Platform

National Information Technology Board and Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to expand digital cooperation and integrate regulatory and health related services into the National Citizen Services Platform. The agreement has been concluded under the Digital Economy Enhancement Project, a government initiative focused on improving digital governance and strengthening public access to government services through technology driven platforms.

The collaboration will enable services provided by Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan to be incorporated into the National Citizen Services Platform, allowing citizens to access regulatory and health related services through a centralized digital interface. Officials involved in the initiative state that the integration is expected to improve efficiency, transparency, and accessibility for individuals seeking services related to medicines and regulatory facilitation. By bringing these services onto a unified digital platform, citizens will be able to interact with government systems in a more convenient and streamlined manner without relying heavily on physical administrative processes.

The integration also reflects broader efforts by the government to create a more citizen focused digital ecosystem for public service delivery. The National Citizen Services Platform is designed to bring together services from multiple government institutions under a single digital framework, enabling individuals to access various public sector services through one online gateway. By incorporating services from Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan, authorities aim to further expand the platform’s functionality while strengthening coordination between regulatory institutions and digital governance systems.

Officials note that the Digital Economy Enhancement Project is intended to accelerate Pakistan’s transition toward a digitally enabled public sector by supporting technological infrastructure, improving institutional collaboration, and expanding the availability of online services. The project focuses on strengthening digital systems that allow government departments to deliver services more efficiently while ensuring that citizens have secure and reliable access to essential facilities through electronic platforms.

Authorities involved in the initiative state that the agreement represents continued progress toward the vision of Digital Pakistan by bringing key government services onto unified digital platforms. Through increased cooperation between National Information Technology Board and Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan, the government aims to improve regulatory service delivery, enhance transparency in administrative processes, and make it easier for citizens to access essential public services in a modern digital environment.
