National Highway & Motorway Authority Launch E-ticketing Platform

The government and the IT Ministry of Pakistan are trying their level best to automate various systems that are solely for the purpose of usage by citizens. For in world where technology is taking over fast, it is absolutely necessary to keep up with the demands for progress.

The latest thing to happen in this regard is the launch of an e-ticketing platform by the National Highway and Motorway Police throughout the country. The inauguration ceremony was recently held at the N-75 Islamabad Muzaffarabad Dual Carriage Way (IMDC). The E-ticketing System is to expand to the entire NH&MP Territories.

According to Abbas Ahsan DIG N-5 the system will be linked with law enforcement agencies, excise department, NADRA and the driving licenses authority to make it more applicable.

The guests at the launch included big names from the industry such as Dr. Umar Saif Chairman PITB, along with the federal Secretary for Ministry of Communications, and FWO representatives; with Dr Hafiz Abul Kareem, Federal Minister of Communication as the chief guest.

IG NH&MP Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam speaking on the occasion said,

“Today NH&MP has achieved another milestone successfully. Since the establishment of NH&MP, the ratio of accidents has been decreased to 40% by endeavor and the hard work of NH&MP.”

Through this system they hope to reap real benefits and reducing the ratio of accidents by proper planning and analyzing the data of the violations.
