Continuing its efforts to strengthen digital public service delivery, NADRA has launched a new vehicle verification facility aimed at simplifying the buying and selling of registered vehicles in Sindh. Introduced in collaboration with the Sindh government, the initiative allows citizens to digitally verify vehicle information through NADRA’s Pak ID mobile application. With this facility, individuals can check vehicle and car details from their homes, reducing the need for initial physical visits to government offices. The move reflects ongoing efforts to streamline administrative processes and make essential services more accessible through digital platforms.
According to reports, the newly launched system enables users to access verified vehicle data directly on the Pak ID app, ensuring transparency during vehicle transactions. Once the credentials of a vehicle are confirmed digitally, citizens can proceed with the remaining registration and transfer formalities at the relevant provincial departments. Officials said this approach not only saves time for buyers and sellers but also helps reduce congestion at registration centers by shifting preliminary verification to an online channel. NADRA has advised citizens seeking further details about the facility to visit its official website or contact its helpline at 1777 for guidance and support related to the verification process.
The vehicle verification initiative is part of NADRA’s broader strategy to expand digital services and improve citizen access to government facilities. Earlier, NADRA launched a pilot project in collaboration with selected e-Sahulat franchises to enhance access to identity related services at the community level. Under this initiative, facilities for the reprinting of lost Computerised National Identity Cards and the renewal of expired CNICs are being provided at designated e-Sahulat outlets. The objective of the pilot phase is to reduce pressure on NADRA registration centers while offering citizens more convenient service points closer to their homes.
The pilot project has so far been rolled out at 18 e-Sahulat franchises across Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi. In Karachi, the service is operational at several locations, including Shah Latif Sahulat Center in Malir, Universal Computer Zone in Korangi, Hashmi Communication at Al Azam Square, Gul Photo Studio in Maripur, Tazeem International in Gulistan-e-Johar, Mehboob Communication at Water Pump, Uzair Printer Documentation in Surjani Town and Shaukat General Store in Orangi Town. Officials stated that by leveraging trusted local franchises, NADRA aims to improve service outreach, shorten processing times and enhance overall user experience. Together, the digital vehicle verification facility and the expanded e-Sahulat pilot reflect continued efforts to align public services with the Digital Pakistan agenda through technology driven solutions that prioritize accessibility, efficiency and citizen convenience.
