At only 19 years of age, Muhammad Nafey has developed Pakistan’s first AI-powered e-commerce automation system, named ETAPS. The initiative has been highlighted as a significant advancement for the country’s growing digital commerce landscape, showcasing how young innovators are shaping the future of technology in Pakistan. Connected Pakistan shared the development, recognizing Nafey’s achievement as a milestone in introducing automation to online retail systems.

ETAPS has been designed to address key challenges faced by e-commerce businesses by leveraging artificial intelligence to simplify and optimize operations. From managing inventory and processing orders to customer engagement and logistics support, the system is built to provide end-to-end automation. For businesses operating in competitive online marketplaces, ETAPS offers the potential to reduce human error, lower operational costs, and accelerate response times. As more consumers in Pakistan turn to digital platforms for shopping, innovations such as ETAPS highlight the increasing demand for advanced tools that can meet evolving customer expectations while supporting business scalability.

The significance of this achievement lies not only in the technology itself but also in the growing role of Pakistan’s youth in contributing to digital innovation. At an age when many are still completing their academic journeys, Nafey has demonstrated how ambition and technical knowledge can combine to produce practical solutions with real-world applications. Pakistan’s startup and tech community has increasingly emphasized the need to support young talent, and ETAPS serves as an example of how individual efforts can align with broader industry needs. By focusing on automation and artificial intelligence, Nafey has tapped into two of the most critical areas driving global commerce transformation.

Acknowledging this achievement, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, Governor of Punjab, expressed his pride in Muhammad Nafey’s accomplishment. He stated that achieving such a milestone at a young age is remarkable and deserving of recognition. The Governor praised Nafey for his contribution and said he is presenting him with Khiraj-e-Tehseen as a gesture of respect and encouragement. His remarks reflect growing recognition at the government level of the importance of youth-led innovation in advancing Pakistan’s digital capabilities.

Connected Pakistan, which has been active in spotlighting emerging talent and technology-driven initiatives, noted this achievement as part of its commitment to encouraging innovation within the country. The introduction of ETAPS comes at a time when businesses are actively seeking ways to integrate AI into their workflows. For Pakistan, which is striving to expand its digital economy, such efforts reflect the progress being made toward enhancing competitiveness in regional and international markets. With systems like ETAPS, local enterprises now have an opportunity to adopt solutions developed within the country, tailored to the specific challenges of Pakistan’s e-commerce sector.
