Loric Games has officially announced that its upcoming airship-themed cooperative survival RPG, Echoes of Elysium, will enter early access on January 27, 2026. Originally planned for a December 4 release, the launch was delayed last month to allow the small development team additional time to refine the game. The early access pricing has been set at $19.99, with a 10% discount available during the first week.

Brian Johnson, CEO and Co-Founder of Loric Games, emphasized that early access allows the development team to create the game in collaboration with players rather than in isolation. He stated that Echoes of Elysium is designed to be a survival RPG where the airship is central to the player’s experience, and the team intends to evolve the game’s systems and features based on direct feedback from its community. Johnson acknowledged that early access players may encounter bugs during this period and emphasized that the process is meant to involve fans in shaping the final game.

The developers recently shared additional insights and improvements via a blog post on the game’s Steam page. Animations and combat have been significantly enhanced to provide a more fluid and dynamic gameplay experience. Physics have been applied across all player outfits, constructs, and flying vehicles, which allows elements such as capes and skirts to trail naturally during movement. This adds depth to both player and enemy animations, resulting in more visually engaging encounters. New attack animations, including wrench attacks, were also added using an animation import tool.

The early access phase represents a strategic choice for Loric Games to maintain close communication with its audience. By opening development to players, the team can adjust gameplay balance, implement requested features, and respond to feedback in real time. The collaborative approach is intended to ensure that when the game reaches full release, it reflects the community’s expectations while maintaining the developer’s creative vision. With these updates, Echoes of Elysium aims to combine cooperative gameplay, survival mechanics, and a richly animated airship environment for players on PC.
