PlayStation has officially confirmed the full lineup of games for its PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers for January 2026, following leaks that circulated in the gaming community last evening. Leading this month’s roster are Resident Evil Village and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, which headline a total of eight games for Extra-tier subscribers. Premium members receive access to an additional ninth title, Ridge Racer from the original PlayStation console, which joins the Classics Catalog reserved exclusively for top-tier subscribers.

The January selection offers a diverse range of genres and gameplay experiences for both PS4 and PS5 platforms. A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, a survival spin-off from the popular horror film franchise, joins the lineup alongside Expeditions: A MudRunner Game, which provides players with off-road adventure and vehicle management challenges. Darkest Dungeon II returns as a strategic role-playing title, while The Exit 8 adds puzzle-solving gameplay to the mix. Indie developers are represented with A Little to the Left, a cozy puzzle game from Max Inferno, and Art of Rally, featuring detailed rally racing experiences. Collectively, these games provide subscribers with a mix of mainstream and niche titles across a variety of genres.

While the additions expand the library, some discussion continues around the value of the Premium subscription. This month, Premium members gain only a single entry into the Classics Catalog in addition to all Extra-tier games. Ridge Racer serves as that classic inclusion, but inconsistencies in adding titles to the Classics Catalog have previously drawn criticism from subscribers, who question whether the Premium tier consistently delivers sufficient additional value compared to Extra or Essential memberships. Despite these concerns, the January lineup highlights PlayStation’s strategy of balancing major releases with indie and specialized games, maintaining a broad selection for subscribers.

Earlier in January, Essential-tier subscribers already received titles including Need for Speed Unbound, Epic Mickey Rebrushed, and Core Keeper, further enriching PS Plus’s library and providing a wide variety of options for players across all tiers. This month’s confirmed lineup reinforces PlayStation’s continued effort to deliver diverse content and ensure a mix of popular franchises, classic titles, and indie games for its subscriber base. All January 2026 games for PS Plus Extra and Premium, including Resident Evil Village, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Darkest Dungeon II, and Ridge Racer, will become available on January 20, 2026, offering fans an opportunity to experience both high-profile and curated gameplay selections across PlayStation consoles.

Resident Evil Village and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth are set to be the standout titles for this month, catering to players seeking story-driven and action-packed experiences. Expeditions: A MudRunner Game and Art of Rally appeal to players interested in off-road racing and vehicle management, while A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead offers fans of the horror genre an immersive survival experience. Puzzle enthusiasts will find A Little to the Left and The Exit 8 engaging, and Darkest Dungeon II provides a tactical challenge for strategy gamers. Ridge Racer, added to the Premium tier’s Classics Catalog, offers a nostalgic racing experience for longtime PlayStation fans, although it underscores ongoing discussions about the frequency and value of classic game additions for Premium subscribers.

This mix of blockbuster franchises, indie titles, and classic games demonstrates PlayStation’s ongoing approach to providing a wide range of gaming experiences for its PS Plus community. With all games becoming available on January 20, 2026, subscribers across Extra and Premium tiers can enjoy a variety of new gameplay experiences spanning horror, racing, puzzle-solving, and tactical role-playing genres, solidifying PS Plus’s role as a platform for diverse and curated gaming content.
