The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) has invited software and information technology companies to apply for office space at the Software Technology Centre (STC) in Peshawar. The initiative offers eligible businesses a 25% rental subsidy alongside access to high-speed internet bandwidth and furnished co-working facilities. Through this offer, KPITB aims to make professional office infrastructure more accessible to software houses and IT businesses operating in or planning to establish their presence in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The opportunity is intended for companies seeking a dedicated workspace with essential facilities without bearing the full cost of commercial office rentals. Interested businesses can submit their applications through the official Join IT Khyber Pakhtunkhwa portal.

According to the announcement, the facilities at STC Peshawar include dedicated office space, high-speed bandwidth and furnished co-working arrangements. These resources are relevant to software development companies, IT service providers and other technology businesses that require reliable connectivity and a professional working environment. Access to furnished facilities can also reduce the initial investment required by companies setting up or expanding operations, while the rental subsidy can help lower recurring workspace expenses. The 25% subsidy is a central feature of the offer, although the announcement does not specify the rental rates, available office capacity or the duration for which the subsidy will remain applicable. Applicants may need to consult KPITB through its official application channel for further details about the available spaces and terms.

To qualify, applicants must have a National Tax Number (NTN) and be registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) or the Registrar of Firms in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These requirements establish that the opportunity is directed towards formally registered businesses rather than individuals seeking informal co-working arrangements. Software and IT companies interested in applying can visit joinit.kp.gov.pk to access the application process. The announcement does not provide a closing date for submissions, so eligible businesses should check the portal for current application instructions, documentation requirements and any additional conditions before applying. KPITB has not publicly specified how many companies will be accommodated under this particular offer.

The STC Peshawar initiative forms part of KPITB’s broader role in supporting the provincial technology sector through infrastructure and business-development opportunities. Access to affordable workspaces, dependable internet connectivity and shared facilities can help technology firms manage operating costs and focus resources on product development, software services and business expansion. For smaller companies, the availability of a subsidised office environment may also reduce some of the practical barriers associated with establishing a formal business presence. The latest offer provides an opportunity for eligible software and IT companies to explore workspace options through a provincial technology-support programme. Businesses seeking to benefit from the facility can review the eligibility criteria and submit their applications through the official Join IT portal.
