Jazz has announced a recent milestone by successfully testing its optical fiber network, achieving a remarkable throughput of 1.6 terabits per second (Tbps) per channel. The test, conducted on December 13th through Huawei’s advanced Kepler platform, positions Jazz as the first operator in the Europe, Middle East, and African (EMEA) region to achieve this feat.
This achievement is in line with Jazz’s broader objective of continually establishing and strengthening leading digital platforms to meet the evolving needs of its customers. Khalid Shehzad, Jazz’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), expressed the significance of this achievement, stating,
