IBA Center for Entrepreneurial Development has announced the launch of the Invent for the Greater Good Challenge 2025 in collaboration with Beba Foundation (New York City) and August Leadership. This national initiative calls on changemakers, innovators, and aspiring entrepreneurs across Pakistan to design bold and scalable solutions to address the country’s most pressing challenges. The competition is open to teams of three to five students or alumni from Pakistani universities, offering an opportunity to translate ideas into impactful projects through mentorship, coaching, and funding support.

Under the announced schedule, proposal submissions for the challenge will close on October 5, 2025. Finalists will be revealed on October 27, with a dedicated coaching and pitch preparation period from October 28 to November 14, 2025. The live competition will take place on November 20, 2025, at IBA City Campus in Karachi. Organizers highlight that this structure provides participants with ample time to refine their solutions under expert guidance before presenting them to a panel of judges and an audience of peers and professionals. By creating this multi-stage process, the initiative aims to nurture innovative thinking and prepare teams for real-world implementation of their concepts.

The challenge has identified key thematic areas for participants to address, including climate change and environment, transformative technologies, accessible healthcare, financial literacy, advocacy, and emergency preparedness and response. Each of these themes reflects critical gaps in Pakistan’s development landscape where innovative interventions can drive measurable impact. Organizers have emphasized that proposals should be both practical and scalable, focusing on sustainability and long-term benefits for communities across the country.

Substantial awards have been allocated to recognize the most promising ideas, with first place receiving PKR 1,000,000, second place PKR 750,000, and third place PKR 500,000, along with an Audience Choice Award to encourage public engagement in the competition. Interested teams can register online at this link. Queries can be directed to shassan@iba.edu.pk or by contacting 0305-2485303. By offering funding, mentorship, and a platform for visibility, IBA-CED and its partners aim to empower Pakistan’s youth to develop actionable solutions that address the country’s urgent needs and create a pipeline of talent ready to take on future challenges.
