The Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, in collaboration with Ignite – National Technology Fund, supported 10 Pakistani startups to participate in Expand North Star 2025, held alongside GITEX Global at the Dubai Harbour. The event, recognized as the world’s largest technology and startup showcase, brings together innovators, entrepreneurs, and investors from across the globe to explore new ideas, foster collaborations, and strengthen the global startup ecosystem. For Pakistan, this platform serves as an opportunity to demonstrate its growing potential in the digital innovation landscape.

At the Ignite Pavilion located in Hall 8, Stand B#180, Pakistan’s delegation made a notable impression on the opening day of the event. The participating startups presented a diverse range of ideas and technologies, showcasing the country’s evolving entrepreneurial landscape. Their participation was not limited to product demonstrations but also involved active networking sessions with international investors, accelerators, and tech industry leaders. Through these interactions, Pakistani founders were able to share their vision, explore funding opportunities, and discuss global expansion strategies with potential partners and mentors.

The first day at Expand North Star 2025 reflected a strong start for Pakistan’s innovation ecosystem. The Ignite Pavilion was a hub of energy and collaboration, as visitors engaged with entrepreneurs developing cutting-edge solutions across sectors such as artificial intelligence, education technology, health innovation, and sustainable development. Each startup represented the next generation of Pakistan’s innovators — young, dynamic, and eager to make their mark on the global technology scene. According to Ignite officials, this participation underscores the government’s continued commitment to empowering local entrepreneurs through access to international exposure, mentorship, and investment channels.

Ignite, operating under the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, continues to drive Pakistan’s journey toward a digitally empowered economy. Its initiatives have enabled hundreds of local startups to build innovative products, scale globally, and contribute to the vision of a Digital Pakistan. The presence at Expand North Star 2025 reaffirms the organization’s mission to bridge the gap between Pakistani talent and global opportunities. By fostering collaborations and showcasing success stories at international stages like GITEX Global, Ignite aims to position Pakistan as a leading technology destination in the region.

The participation of Pakistani startups in Dubai highlights how innovation from emerging economies is now commanding global attention. With support from Ignite, these entrepreneurs are gaining visibility and validation, paving the way for future partnerships and investments. As the event continues, the Ignite Pavilion remains a symbol of Pakistan’s growing potential in the global tech ecosystem — where creativity meets opportunity and where ideas from Pakistan are connecting with the world.
