The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and IEEE are jointly hosting a free webinar on September 29, 2026 at 2:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time as part of the IEEE Webinar Series 2026, offering researchers, academics, and students across Pakistan a structured opportunity to learn how to prepare their research for publication and effectively navigate the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. The session is titled Preparing Your Research for Publication: An IEEE Perspective and is open to all interested participants through online registration.
The webinar will be led by Mr. Alex Liu Yupeng, Manager of Client Services for Asia at IEEE, who works directly with customers across the Asia-Pacific region to provide customised learning opportunities about publishing with IEEE and in-depth training on best practices for searching and using the IEEE Xplore Digital Library. His role gives him direct insight into the practical challenges that researchers in the region face when attempting to navigate IEEE’s publishing ecosystem, making him well-positioned to address the questions that Pakistani academics and graduate students most commonly encounter when preparing work for international publication.
IEEE Xplore is one of the most significant digital libraries in the fields of electrical engineering, computing, and related technologies, providing access to nearly one-third of the world’s literature in these disciplines. It is subscribed to by 98 of the world’s top 100 engineering universities, including all of the top 100 institutions in the United States, underlining its central role in academic research, teaching, and technological innovation globally. For Pakistani researchers aiming to publish in internationally recognised IEEE journals and conferences, understanding how to structure a submission, meet editorial standards, and use IEEE Xplore as a research tool represents a foundational skill that can directly influence the quality and visibility of their published work.
