Google has announced a significant expansion of its Gemini Live service, making it accessible to all users for free. Previously exclusive to Advanced subscribers, Gemini Live offers a more dynamic and interactive conversational experience with Google’s AI assistant.
Users can now engage in fluid back-and-forth conversations, interrupting or redirecting the conversation as needed. This feature is currently available on Android devices through the Gemini app, which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
To access Gemini Live, users can tap the sparkle icon located in the bottom-right corner of the Gemini app. The screen will then display two primary controls: “Hold” and “End,” allowing users to manage the conversation flow. After ending the chat, users can review a complete transcription of their interaction.
While Gemini Live currently does not integrate with other Google services, Google has indicated that support for additional languages and integrations is in development. This expansion will further enhance the versatility and usefulness of Gemini Live for users.
