Federal Investigation Agency has established pre-departure facilitation desks at all its zonal offices to provide support to international travelers, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced on Sunday. The initiative is aimed at easing passenger navigation of immigration rules, travel documentation, and other essential requirements, ensuring smoother airport experiences and reducing confusion and delays. With these desks now fully operational, travelers can access guidance on travel procedures before arriving at airports.

According to FIA officials, the facilitation desks have been set up across all eleven zones, including the G/6 office in Islamabad. Travelers can also seek assistance through dedicated helplines and email services provided by FIA. Each desk is staffed with trained personnel including assistant directors, inspectors, and sub-inspectors, all equipped to handle inquiries and provide accurate information on international travel requirements. The agency emphasized that these services are intended to support passengers in complying with rules and avoiding unnecessary complications at departure points.

The teams at these desks will offer guidance on visa documents, travel categories, return ticket requirements, and permissible currency limits. FIA zonal offices are located in key cities including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, and Quetta, while regional offices operate in Gujranwala, Faisalabad, and Multan. The facilitation desks come as a response to complaints from passengers who, despite holding valid documents, were offloaded at airports. This proactive measure is designed to address such issues and ensure that travelers are fully informed ahead of their journey.

FIA officials further highlighted that these desks will enhance coordination between travelers and immigration authorities, supporting compliance with Pakistan’s travel regulations. By providing detailed pre-departure guidance, the agency aims to reduce operational delays at airports and promote a more organized travel experience for citizens and foreign visitors alike. Passengers are encouraged to contact the desks or utilize FIA’s digital communication channels for timely information and assistance. This effort reflects ongoing steps by Pakistani authorities to streamline international travel and strengthen public services.
