Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja is scheduled to address the EU-Pakistan Business Forum 2026 on April 29, where she will speak on the growing opportunities for digital innovation, technology investment, and closer collaboration between Pakistan and the European Union in the technology sector.

The forum provides a timely platform for Pakistan to present its digital economy credentials to a European audience at a moment when the government has been actively courting foreign investment in the technology and telecommunications space. Minister Khawaja’s participation signals the importance the federal government attaches to deepening economic and technological ties with the European Union, which remains one of Pakistan’s most significant trade and development partners.

Her address is expected to cover the strides Pakistan has made in expanding its digital infrastructure, growing its information technology export base, and creating a more enabling environment for technology companies looking to establish or expand their footprint in the country. With Pakistan’s information technology exports continuing on an upward trajectory and the government pushing forward on regulatory reforms to attract foreign direct investment, the EU-Pakistan Business Forum represents an opportunity to convert that momentum into concrete bilateral engagements and investment commitments between European and Pakistani technology enterprises.
