PSEB is hosting a live webinar bringing Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Khawaja directly into conversation with Pakistan’s freelance community, offering an opportunity for independent technology professionals across the country to hear from the minister on government initiatives, the challenges facing the freelancing sector, and the broader direction of Pakistan’s digital economy.

The session is structured as a direct engagement between the minister and Pakistan’s freelance workforce rather than a conventional policy briefing, giving participants a chance to follow a live discussion that addresses the practical realities of freelancing in Pakistan, including payment access, platform access, taxation, skill development support, and the regulatory environment that shapes how Pakistani freelancers compete in global markets. Pakistan consistently ranks among the top countries globally for freelancing output, and the sector has increasingly become a focus area for the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication given its contribution to foreign exchange earnings and digital export growth.

The webinar is being organised under the Tech Destination Pakistan initiative of the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, with PSEB coordinating the session as part of its ongoing engagement with the information technology industry and independent workforce. The session is scheduled for Friday, June 5, 2026 at 4:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time and is accessible via live stream on PSEB’s official Facebook page as well as through a dedicated Zoom link for those wishing to participate more directly in the conversation.

Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995.
