EVEE has showcased its S1 Air Self Drive at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2026, presenting an experimental electric scooter capable of moving and maintaining its balance without direct rider control. The prototype is based on the company’s existing S1 Air electric scooter but incorporates additional motorized hardware and a dedicated control system designed to enable autonomous movement and self-balancing. EVEE says the technology remains in the research and development stage, with the company continuing to test the concept before determining whether it can be developed into a commercially available product.
The S1 Air Self Drive retains the basic platform of the standard S1 Air while adding hardware required for its autonomous functions. The conventional S1 Air uses a 2,200W motor, a 76.8V 32Ah Phylion lithium battery and has a claimed range of 90 to 110 kilometers, with a top speed of approximately 65 to 70 kilometers per hour. The standard S1 Air Lithium is currently priced at Rs. 319,900, although EVEE has not announced a price for the self-driving prototype.
The key difference is the scooter’s ability to move independently while remaining upright without a rider. The additional motorized components and balancing system allow the prototype to operate autonomously during demonstrations. However, EVEE has not yet disclosed the complete sensor configuration, control software or final hardware architecture that would be used in a production version. As a result, the S1 Air Self Drive is currently a development-stage prototype rather than a commercially available autonomous scooter.
EVEE has also not announced a commercial launch date or confirmed whether the self-driving version will enter production. The company is currently evaluating the technology and testing its capabilities as part of its development work on future electric two-wheelers. If eventually brought to market, EVEE says the model would become Pakistan’s first self-driving electric scooter. The company also displayed a modified Gen-Z Pro featuring a side seat at PAPS 2026, demonstrating additional ways its existing electric scooter platforms can be adapted for different applications.
