Director General Public Relations (DGPR) Punjab, Rubina Afzal, has unveiled plans to revolutionize media monitoring through the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and the formulation of Punjab’s first cyber advertising policy.
During her visit to the Directorate of Electronic Media and Publication (DEMP) and the Press Information Department’s (PID) Cyber Wing in Islamabad, Afzal inspected key facilities alongside DEMP Director General Imrana Wazir and PID Cyber Wing’s DG Waqar Siddiqui.
Afzal’s visit included an in-depth review of the DEMP Central Monitoring Unit, Data Storage Centre, and PID’s Electronic Media Dashboard. She received a briefing from PID officials on electronic media and social media monitoring practices.
In her address, DGPR Punjab emphasized the importance of aligning media monitoring practices with contemporary needs and outlined plans to utilize AI for enhanced monitoring capabilities.
