Punjab:
To save candidates from the hassle of long-distance travel, Punjab government has decided to hold online interviews of successful candidates who have passed the written public service examination, through a video link or Skype.
Commonly, candidates travel from all over Punjab for these interviews, and the government has advised the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) to conduct online interviews to save time, money and any logistical hassle for the candidates.

The commission has been directed to establish regional offices in all nine divisions of Punjab as well as all major cities of the province for the purpose.

PPSC Chairman Lt Gen (retd) Sajjad Akram presented the performance report of the commission for the year 2016 to the CM. While lauding the efforts of the team, CM said substantial steps should be taken for strengthening and continuous improvement of the commission to comply with the latest trends. Officials have been asked to explore ways of bringing the whole system online and facilitate candidates by conducting their interviews via video links or Skype.
