On May 9, 2025, the ITCN Asia Lahore will host the CWPK 40 Premier Leadership Roundtable, a mixer event presented by CWPK Academy, the events and studio arm of Computerworld Pakistan. The  gathering will bring together leaders, innovators, and policymakers to discuss the future of technology in Pakistan, with a focus on Public Interest Technology and the role of emerging tech like Artificial Intelligence (AI) in shaping society. This carries forward from the first CWPK 40 Premier Leadership Roundtable hosted at the ITCN Asia Lahore in April 2024.

A Milestone Celebration

This event is particularly special as it coincides with Computerworld’s 30th birthday in Pakistan. Three decades of relentless pursuit of innovation, excellence, and leadership have made Computerworld a well known name in the country’s tech industry. The Computerworld 40 Premier Leaders Roundtable is a fitting tribute to this milestone.

The Built Environment of the Digital Age

Technology is often viewed as a virtual entity, separate from the physical world. However, it’s becoming increasingly clear that technology is, in fact, a form of infrastructure that shapes and is shaped by the society it serves. Just as the built environment reflects the values and priorities of a community, so too does the digital landscape. The inequities and biases that exist in the physical world can be replicated in the virtual world if not addressed. Therefore, it’s crucial to consider the social implications of technological advancements, including AI, and ensure that they serve the greater good.

    CWPK Events Legacy:

For over a decade and a half, PC World/Computerworld Pakistan have been at the forefront of organizing a bevy of human-interest events that highlight the better use of technology for society. From its sister brand PC Worlds contribution to bringing a slew of platforms starting 2008, that brought about social media drivers in the country by hosting the first bloggers meetups, tweet ups, map-ups, social media conference and the first and second blog awards these SPIN-IDG brands have always contributed to the cause of technology for the development of society in Pakistan.

From Computerworld’s very own Coffee Conversations to the Splinternet of Things to Techknowlogic, from Techmanity to the iThought Colloquium, and finally to the CWPK Premiers 40 Roundtables. This event continues that tradition, providing a platform for leaders from various sectors to come together and discuss the future of technology for good in Pakistan.

CWPK 40 Premier Leaders Roundtable is produced by CWPK Academy, on behalf of the CW Media brand, part of the SPIN umbrella of tech media brands.
