Pakistan’s 5G rollout has expanded across two operators, with Jazz and Zong both offering active 5G service in a growing number of cities and localities as of June 2026. Ufone, which acquired 5G spectrum in the March 2026 auction, has not yet begun its public rollout at the time of writing. Both Jazz and Zong have published interactive coverage maps on their official websites that allow users to check whether specific areas in their cities have active 5G service, and the maps are updated as new sites go live.

Jazz has confirmed 5G coverage across 13 cities: Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Faisalabad, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, Gujranwala, Hyderabad, and Sahiwal. In Islamabad, Jazz 5G covers sectors including F-11, F-10/4, F-8, F-7, F-6, G-7 through G-11, E-7, E-8/1, E-11, I-9/3, the Diplomatic Enclave, and Islamabad International Airport. In Lahore, covered areas include Gulberg Main Boulevard, Garden Town, DHA Phase 1 and 3, Model Town Link Road, Johar Town, Mall Road, Jail Road, and Allama Iqbal International Airport. Karachi coverage includes Bahria Town, DHA Phases 1, 5, 6, 7 and 8, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Navy Housing Scheme, and areas near Jinnah Hospital. Multan has particularly broad Jazz 5G coverage spanning Fatima Jinnah Town, Multan Cantt, Bosan Road, Model Town, Gulgasht Colony, Wapda Town, and several other localities. Faisalabad coverage is among the widest of any city outside Islamabad, with sites across Madina Town, Kohinoor Town, Model Town, Clock Tower, Canal Garden, and more than a dozen other areas.

Zong has 142 active 5G sites across 17 cities: Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Quetta, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Hyderabad, Sialkot, Jhelum, Attock, Abbottabad, Swabi, Mardan, Kohat, and Gujranwala. Zong’s Islamabad footprint includes Blue Area, NUST H-12, the Supreme Court, the Chinese Embassy, PWD, and sectors F-5 through F-11, G-5 through G-11, and E-7. In Karachi, Zong 5G is live at Jinnah International Airport, IBA University, NED University, DHA Phase 8, Clifton Beach Park, Teen Talwar, Burns Road Food Street, Port Grand, and Civil Lines including near Governor House and PC Hotel. Peshawar has one of the most extensive Zong 5G footprints outside the major metros, with coverage across Hayatabad Phases 1 and 4, Bacha Khan Airport, Khyber Bazaar, Peshawar Cantt, UET, Khyber Medical College, and multiple other locations. Among smaller cities, Zong is present in Abbottabad near Fawara Chowk and Main Bazar, in Sialkot near the international airport and cantt area, in Swabi at GIKI University, in Mardan near Mall of Mardan, and in Kohat Cantt.

Coverage in all cities remains patchy at this early stage of the rollout, with 5G available in specific localities and landmark areas rather than blanket coverage across entire cities. Both operators are expected to continue adding sites as their 5G rollout plans progress through 2026 and into 2027, with the government having set a target of expanded 5G deployment across major urban centres as part of the Digital Nation Pakistan initiative.
