CMPak, one of Pakistan’s leading telecom operators, has completed the commercial deployment of the FDD 8x120W ultra-wideband high-power solution in collaboration with Huawei. The rollout marks a significant step in improving network performance and energy efficiency across Pakistan’s telecommunications infrastructure. According to the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), this deployment positions CMPak among the first operators in the region to adopt Huawei’s next-generation GigaGreen 8T technology, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and service excellence.

The FDD 8x120W high-power solution brings measurable improvements compared to traditional dual 4T setups. By integrating advanced materials and optimized manufacturing techniques, the system achieves a 44% reduction in weight and a 47% smaller footprint. These improvements lower wind resistance and reduce pole load requirements, simplifying both installation and long-term maintenance. More importantly, the network upgrade enables equivalent or superior coverage with 37% less energy consumption, effectively lowering operational expenses while supporting CMPak’s long-term goals for energy conservation and emissions reduction. The energy-efficient design aligns with global telecom trends focused on green networks and sustainable digital growth.

As Pakistan’s digital economy continues to expand rapidly, the demand for high-capacity and low-latency networks has intensified. CMPak, recognizing the limitations of legacy network equipment, has adopted Huawei’s innovative wideband and intelligent hybrid beamforming technologies to meet these evolving needs. The new deployment significantly enhances spectral efficiency, doubling downlink capacity compared to traditional 4T networks. This improvement directly impacts network performance, mitigating congestion and delivering faster, more stable data connections. Subscribers can expect better user-perceived speeds and improved overall service quality, especially in dense urban environments where connectivity demand is highest.

CMPak’s collaboration with Huawei reflects a shared vision of building an intelligent, energy-efficient, and future-ready telecommunications ecosystem in Pakistan. Beyond boosting network performance, this deployment strengthens CMPak’s operational sustainability by reducing energy costs and environmental impact. The partnership demonstrates how innovation in hardware design and network optimization can support the dual goals of digital expansion and ecological responsibility. By integrating high-efficiency solutions, CMPak continues to deliver on its promise to provide reliable, high-quality telecommunications services while contributing to the broader digital transformation of the country. The initiative represents a decisive move toward building a stronger, smarter, and more connected Pakistan.
