The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) held Las Vegas at the start of the year was spectacular. Not only did it showcase the best in the world of technology, but also it served to set a bar for computer geeks all over the world to compare themselves against. This can only mean absolute greatness in the coming days to come, as the bar that has been raised is tall and proud.
A running theme from the event with regards lifelogging and lifestreaming technology marked the event. For so long it was only a sliver of the cake that technology is. Until now. Lifelogging is when you log in the details of your life in sequence of events as they happen. Lifestreaming is sharing with everyone everything.
Both these concepts were technologically applied at this year’s CES 2014. Google Glass, drones, wearable technology to name a few.

- Smartphones
CES 2014 saw the rise of new smartphones. Apps connecting the phone to the cloud were plenty. LG started came out with new G flex curve that had taken over much of the news space in the last quarter of 2013. Phablets are the new phone!

- PrioVR
PrioVR seeks to enhance the pleasure of the gamer which involves wearing a suit with sensors on the head, chest and arms. The full-body version of the suit costs about $400, while the torso-only version will cost about $270 via Kickstarter from next month. PrioVR, with its motion detecting technology can easily guess the most delicate of movements of the user during the game, and therefore gives it the realistic demeanor.
