Vanue: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board – KPITB

Details: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board – KPITB is pleased to announce a community celebration to mark Pakistan’s first ever awards program recognizing online freelancing.

Pakistanis are the fourth most active nation globally on online outsourcing platforms. For young Pakistanis, this form of work has created new opportunities to access and compete in global markets as digital freelancers. To support this growing digital economy, KPITB is currently training youth in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on digital skills and how to be successful on online platforms, through the KP Youth Employment Program.

We collected hundreds of applications and vital information on the size of the industry, trends in jobs, average earnings– and were especlially pleased to identify top talent in the province and throughout the country. This will help us develop new programs and support youth more strategically on the skills for the jobs of the future!

Winners have been selected and awards will be distributed at a community celebration on March 9th.

Stay tuned for more updates and the release of Pakistan’s first comprehensive report on digital freelancing!

about
CWPK Legacy
Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. Initially providing news to IT executives only, once CIO Pakistan, its sister brand from the same family, was launched and took over the enterprise reporting domain in Pakistan, CWPK has emerged as a holistic technology media platform reporting everything tech in the country. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come. CWPK is part of the SPIN/IDG Wakhan media umbrella.
