Mobilink Microfinance Bank (MMBL), Pakistan’s largest digital bank, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CARE International in Pakistan (CIP), a leading global humanitarian and development non-governmental organisation, to promote financial inclusion for small and medium businesses, particularly those led by women, in order to support their long-term development.
In the presence of top executives from both organisations, Ghazanfar Azzam, President and CEO of MMBL, and Adil Sheraz, Country Director of CIP, signed the MoU in Islamabad.
In line with the Government of Pakistan’s national development objectives and the National Financial Inclusion Strategy, the partnership will facilitate financial inclusion, as well as business development skills and connections for Pakistani entrepreneurs, particularly women, in order to positively strengthen Pakistan’s economy (NFIS).
MMBL and CIP will collaborate to improve access to finance for entrepreneurs, boost entrepreneurship growth, promote mentorship activities, and promote the adoption of digital wallets.
