Pakistani Startup AzaadHealth Makes It To StartUp Health, USA

AzaadHealth is a Pakistani health based online HIPAA compliant platform which allows healthcare providers and patients to share medical information. It is a complete health information management and data analytics tool for the entire family.

Recently, they have been selected in the US based accelerator program called StartUp Health, a program that is dedicated to supporting a global army of entrepreneurs working on improving the health industry through innovative and creative ideas and methods. StartUp Health has the world’s largest portfolio of digital health companies from over 12 countries and continues to grow that number with each passing year.

AzaadHealth is to be part of their latest cohort that consists of startups 10 startups chosen from all over the world. Currently, the health based startup is working and focusing on an online healthcare platform to fulfill all the health needs of people. Furthermore, the startup aims to develop a complete online platform that provides the user with insights about their health and well-being by using data analytics.

Speaking to the local news, Syed Abrar, the founder and CEO of said,

“We are working on a HIPAA compliant, permissioned blockchain network powered by HyperLedger. Right now they are connecting us with several insurance providers in the US so that we may get feedback from our potential clients.”

The startup AzaadHealth is led by Syed Abrar Ahmed and is the first global blockchain-powered data exchange network not based on crypto coins or mining that assembles an individual’s medical data from multiple sources into one platform and later shares it with insurance providers, researchers, doctors and family.

The startup was incubated at The Nest I/O in Karachi. Lauding the milestone, The Nest I/O said,

“We are very happy to announce that our Batch 4 startup AzaadHealth is partnering with StartUp Health, a US-based accelerator program designed to boost health startups. Azaad Health is also the first company from Pakistan to join Startup Health on its mission to transform the health and well-being of everyone in the world.”
