Government of Pakistan has rolled out a program under the Prime Minister’s Special Initiative to provide three to six-month free professional training courses aimed at the children of overseas Pakistanis, though adults are also encouraged to join. This initiative is being implemented jointly by the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission and Overseas Pakistanis Foundation to offer skill development opportunities in both technical and digital fields. Officials state that the objective is to enhance employability prospects at home and abroad for Pakistani youth.
Participants will be able to enroll in courses spanning modern and in-demand fields such as digital marketing, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and web development, alongside technical trades including electrician training, welding, and other vocational disciplines. These programs have been designed to equip learners with practical expertise aligned with current job market needs, reflecting an emphasis on both digital literacy and hands-on skills. By offering this range, the initiative seeks to cater to diverse interests and career paths of applicants.
Eligibility for enrollment requires applicants to have completed at least matriculation (Grade 10) or a higher level of education. The program specifically targets individuals between 18 and 40 years of age to ensure that both young adults and mid-career professionals can access these training opportunities. Authorities have highlighted that demand for these courses is expected to be significant due to their relevance to fast-evolving job sectors and the absence of tuition fees.
The last date for applications is 30 September 2025, with candidates advised to apply early to secure a spot as capacity is limited. Registration for the training programs can be completed online through the official portal at nsis.navttc.gov.pk. According to officials, the courses are tailored to equip the children of overseas Pakistanis with skills that support employment not only in Pakistan but also internationally, particularly in sectors experiencing rapid growth. The program also reflects government efforts to promote human capital development by blending technical trades with digital skills training to produce a workforce better prepared for present and future demands.
