Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced the establishment of Pakistan’s first AI University in Lahore. The university will be located within the Nawaz Sharif IT City and will offer higher education and IT skills in high demand worldwide.

The announcement comes after the Punjab government approved the IT City project in March. The ambitious project, spanning 853 acres, is strategically situated near PKLI in Lahore.

In addition to the AI university, the Chief Minister also unveiled a scholarship program with a budget of Rs. 25 billion. The program aims to provide talented students with access to education at prestigious institutions like LUMS, IBA, COMSATS, and FAST.

The Chief Minister emphasized the program’s potential impact on youth employment, stating that students with IT skills will find jobs quickly.
