PTCL Group Extends PKR 1.75 Billion Relief Package to Flood-Affected Communities in Pakistan
PTCL Group, the largest telecom services provider in Pakistan, has announced a comprehensive relief package worth PKR 1.75 billion to support communities affected by floods in different provinces of the country. The relief package includes various initiatives aimed at providing immediate assistance and aid to those in need.
As part of the package, PTCL Group will make donations to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund and collaborate with NGOs to ensure effective relief operations. Additionally, free calls will be provided in flood-affected areas, enabling people to stay connected with their loved ones and establish contact with aid agencies and the government.
To address the healthcare needs of the affected communities, PTCL Group will offer medical services through its Health Centers. A team of 13 doctors and 27 paramedical staff will be deployed across 8 districts to provide essential healthcare support.
Ufone 4G, a subsidiary of PTCL Group, has also joined the efforts by announcing free calls for people residing in flood-affected communities. This initiative aims to facilitate communication and ensure that individuals can stay connected during these challenging times.
Furthermore, U Microfinance Bank, another entity of PTCL Group, has pledged to provide low-cost house loans to help displaced families rebuild their homes and restore their lives.
In addition to these measures, PTCL Group will contribute to the Prime Minister’s Flood Relief Fund and donate to leading aid agencies operating in Balochistan and Sindh provinces. The organization encourages its employees and staff to make voluntary donations, which will be matched by the company and donated to a prominent charity.
