About GRID
GRID, a US-based woman-led firm started by Pakistani entrepreneur Marium Nusrat, intends to democratise content production through video games. Marium Nusrat is a recipient of the Clinton Global Initiative University Honor Roll Alumni Award and was previously recognised in Forbes Next 1000, which honours startups and enterprises with less than $10 million in revenue.
Nusrat also leads a team of 18 game developers and designers that have worked on video games and social innovation projects.
Breshna
Breshna is a platform being developed by the team that allows people to create purposeful video games without writing a single line of code. In Pashto, the Founder’s native tongue, Breshna means “lightening.”
There are presently 1100 registered users on the platform, and over 3000 video games have been created. GRID has released an alpha version of Breshna, which is now the #2 Product of the Day on Product Hunt.Breshna operates at the crossroads of three major tech trends, according to Marium Nusrat in a Medium post: “no-code content creation, serious games, and NFTs.” Video games are effective communication tools, but their usage has been confined to amusement due to the high cost, talent, and time requirements of video game development. Breshna cuts through these boundaries, allowing non-technical people to develop meaningful video games for a minimal cost, with no coding, and in record time. With the help of our backers, we are now in a position to create an universe where everyone, regardless of their coding or design talents, may tell a story through video games.
Mariam and the team have established an organisation and culture that is motivated by all the right reasons, according to Mark Phillips, Managing Partner of 11 Tribes. Their meticulous management of the firm in such a lean and effective manner offers investors confidence that their money will be put to good use. To summarise, Mariam and her team are profiting from the convergence of many major industry trends, and we at 11 Tribes Ventures are certain that they are onto something huge. We’re ecstatic to be a part of the adventure.
Investors interested in the web3 sector were also drawn to the most recent seed fund. The funds received will be used by GRID to improve the user experience and accelerate the growth of Breshna among its target users.
