  • 3G proposition is getting complicated; investment required is huge, return seems too low, market situation is unstable, political scene is way to vague, value of Rupee is depleting and above all: cellular mobile operators are contented with their current setup and earnings, why would they need to invest more?

Confirmed: 3G/4G License Auction in March 2012

  • The information technology ministry has directed the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority to complete the auction of 3G mobile telecommunications spectrum within the next two to three months, reported The Express Tribune, citing PTA
  • After piles of delays and then affirmations, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has finally received the directive from Ministry of Information Technology (MOIT) to make preparation for auction of third generation cellular licenses, said a statement issued by PTA
