Opensignal, a mobile network research firm based in the United Kingdom, has released its newest analysis on Pakistan’s mobile network usage in 2021. The quality of service provided by Pakistan’s telecom companies, Zong, Ufone, Telenor, and Jazz, was compared and ranked in this research.

The video streaming experience, gaming experience, download and upload speeds, and 4G coverage/availability of these mobile networks were all compared. According on their performance in each category, each brand was given a score.

Video Streaming

Zong topped the charts with higher results in nearly every category, while Jazz and Ufone were not far behind. Zong had the greatest video streaming experience of the four mobile networks, receiving 58.4 out of 100 points, while Jazz and Ufone received 53.8 and 48.8 points, respectively.

Gaming

Because all four operators earned nearly the same score, Zong had to share its gaming experience and upload speed award with them. In terms of games, the telecom companies are evenly matched, with less than one point separating them.

Uploads and Downloads

In terms of uploads, Jazz edged out Zong by a hair, but Telenor and Ufone received surprisingly low marks. In 2021, Zong’s average upload speed was 4.3 Mbps, while Jazz’s was slightly faster at 4.5 Mbps.
In terms of downloads, the difference in score was the same, with Zong and Jazz going head to head once more. In this category, however, Zong emerged victorious, with Ufone and Telenor performing poorly once again.

4G Coverage and Availability

In these categories, Zong also won, while Telenor and Jazz were close behind. The fact that Zong’s 4G availability fell by 2.2 percent this year explains why Jazz and Telenor were so close. On the other hand, all three leaders saw a 0.1 percent gain in 4G coverage.
