Zong 4G has introduced a new social contract, devoted to aiding flood victims and rebuilding Pakistan, in response to one of the largest humanitarian disasters to hit the nation in recent years. The business has outlined its plan to aid in Pakistan’s reconstruction with a three-point agenda under the hashtag #ZongStandsByPakistan.
Zong 4G has developed a strategy to guarantee that people have unrestricted access to services to stay connected with their loved ones during this catastrophic event and to provide on-the-ground support and care both in the short- and long-term, fully realising its role as the leader in converged communications.

As a socially responsible company, Zong 4G understands the needs of the affectees and knows it’s a long journey ahead of us to build our vision of Digital Pakistan. We are committed to ensuring, that through partnerships we deliver to the communities and we will continue our efforts in ensuring that Zong 4G unites and connects Pakistan during these challenging times. Zong 4G stands by Pakistan,” said the spokesperson of Zong 4G.

Phase 1: Robust Connectivity

In the modern world, a nation’s communication infrastructure is crucial to preserving a stable society.
Zong 4G is well aware of the increasing need to ensure that everyone in the nation can quickly communicate with their vulnerable loved ones, governmental institutions, and emergency services during this crucial moment.
All of the company’s technical teams have been sent to the disaster-hit areas as a top priority, and they are there working around the clock to speed up the resolution of network-related problems.

Additionally, considering the unforeseen financial losses that Pakistanis face, Zong 4G is providing all flood affectees with daily free on-net minutes to make sure they can easily connect with rescue services and their loved ones.

Phase 2: Providing Survival Essentials

The second phase of Zong 4g will successfully launch a comprehensive relief programme that will provide essentials for all internally displaced persons.
The initial few weeks of a crisis are crucial because people need immediate assistance with basic requirements. Recognizing this need, the corporation is coordinating an effort with the relevant government agencies and NGOs to provide urgent needs for things like food, medicine, and shelter.

Phase 3: Country Rehabilitation & Reconstruction

These floods have destroyed a lot of things, thus restoring Pakistan’s infrastructure would take a lot of planning and time.
Zong 4G will put people at the centre of all it does while concentrating on rebuilding societies by assisting them in becoming more empowered through digital services that will promote economic activity.

By leveraging the power of the widest 4G network in the country, the company will work toward strengthening societal and economic resilience.
