Zong 4G (CMPak Ltd) has taken another major step in preparing for Pakistan’s next phase of digital connectivity by collaborating with ZTE to conduct a comprehensive five-day technical training on 5G network design, planning, and modernization. This initiative reflects Zong’s sustained commitment to advancing technological excellence and enhancing the skill set of its technical teams to ensure a smooth transition toward 5G deployment in the country. The training was aimed at building in-depth expertise across Zong’s planning, optimization, implementation, and operations divisions, enabling the workforce to align with the company’s long-term network evolution strategy.

The specialized training program covered key technical areas required for the design and optimization of next-generation mobile networks. Under the theme of 5G Network Design and Planning, participants were introduced to methodologies for planning coverage, optimizing capacity, and configuring radio network cell parameters. The sessions focused on how to design robust 5G architectures that deliver enhanced performance and operational efficiency. In addition, the module on Network Modernization and Solution Architecture provided participants with a practical understanding of 5G NR site solutions, modernization frameworks, and comprehensive microwave solutions. This segment emphasized the importance of integrating emerging technologies with existing infrastructure to ensure scalability, flexibility, and reliability across network operations.

Another key part of the program was centered around Technology Evolution and Industry Applications. It explored advanced principles of 5G NR network design, the latest technology trends, and practical industry applications that demonstrate how 5G will reshape communication experiences and enterprise operations across sectors in Pakistan. The sessions were led by a ZTE University technical expert renowned for his hands-on industry experience and ability to relate complex technical concepts to real-world network challenges. His instruction allowed participants to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical applications, supporting Zong’s goal of developing a workforce equipped to execute its 5G vision effectively.

Participants acknowledged the training’s strategic relevance and its direct impact on enhancing network readiness. They highlighted how the sessions strengthened their understanding of 5G technologies and equipped them with actionable insights for network optimization and deployment. The collaboration between Zong and ZTE underscores both organizations’ shared vision of accelerating Pakistan’s digital progress through knowledge transfer and technological advancement. By investing in human capital and fostering partnerships with global technology leaders, Zong continues to position itself as a leading enabler of digital transformation in Pakistan. Through initiatives such as this training, the company is ensuring its technical teams are prepared to deliver seamless 5G connectivity that supports innovation, industry growth, and nationwide digital inclusion.
