Zong has announced a partnership with Axis Mall & Apartments – V One Associates to deploy Pakistan’s first fully integrated Building Management Solution in a high-rise mixed-use development, located in Faisal Town, Islamabad. The collaboration reflects Zong’s focus on delivering advanced digital infrastructure to enhance both residential and commercial experiences within one of the capital city’s most prominent upcoming developments.

Axis Mall & Apartments, an 18-floor high-rise comprising both apartments and retail spaces, will benefit from Zong’s Fiber-to-the-X (FTTX) technology. This initiative ensures high-speed, reliable internet access through a dedicated fiber backbone that will support seamless Managed WiFi services for all residents and businesses within the building. The fiber deployment will cover every unit in the development, enabling consistent connectivity and digital convenience throughout the premises.

The scope of the partnership goes beyond connectivity. Zong will also provide a unified Building Management System (BMS) designed to meet the operational demands of modern residential and commercial buildings. This BMS will be tailored to manage various infrastructure functions, streamlining facility oversight, and simplifying day-to-day operations for occupants. Through an integrated application, tenants will gain access to smart tools for managing their units, tracking maintenance, and utilizing digital services intended to improve living and working environments.

At the signing ceremony, Farooq Raza Khan, Head of Zong Business Solutions, expressed confidence in the project’s potential to set a new standard for smart building deployments in Pakistan. He stated that the collaboration was a significant milestone for Zong in extending its enterprise-grade connectivity offerings into the urban residential and commercial real estate space. He emphasized that Axis Mall & Apartments would serve as a future-ready model for upcoming infrastructure developments across the country.

Shafiq Afridi, CEO of Axis Mall & Apartments, also shared his thoughts on the partnership, highlighting the project’s ambition to become a flagship destination in Islamabad that blends comfort with technology. He said the alliance with Zong would help transform the mall and apartment complex into a connected urban environment that offers more than conventional living or commercial facilities.

Backed by China Mobile Communications Corporation (CMCC), Zong continues to expand its portfolio of intelligent infrastructure solutions across Pakistan. The integration of connectivity, technology-driven building management, and smart applications reflects Zong’s vision of enabling digitally empowered urban centers that serve the evolving needs of Pakistani consumers and businesses.

The Axis Mall & Apartments project illustrates how telecom providers like Zong are contributing to digital transformation not just through mobile networks, but also by embedding connectivity and intelligence into the fabric of real estate and community planning.
